All art at frankenart is sold on consignment. Frankenart/ artist cut is usually 50/50. Artists set prices for their own work, keeping in mind the split and the government's take. Other forms of exchange are encouraged and can be negotiated with a frankenart mart representative.
Certain items at the mart are subject to the Wheel of Fortune. Purchasers may elect to spin the wheel before payment. Possible outcomes include 20% on top of the advertised price, 20% off, Barter, No Deal, and Another Purchase.
Bring in a piece of art that you spent at least an hour on, but made in one day, and swap it for the artwork that's on the post. It's an art economy. Come participate.
Patron Saints have gone out of their way to support the mart. Current patron saints are St. Dulcifer, St. Art Mafiosa, St. Kara, St. Dia, St. Natalie, St. Caitlin, St. Emma, St. Itinerant Poetry Librarian, St. Lee, St. Sarah, St. Greg, St. Mike, St. Flannery, St. Johnny Funcheap, St. Eric, St. Tabitha, and St. Kim.
The Art Mafiosa sponsors our Martist in Residence program. Martists work for the duration of a show - 3 months - and get paid in hot dogs. They are required to perform 1 ongoing project of their own making that responds to the show's theme, 1 mart project of the cats choosing, and 5 meaningless menial tasks. To apply, simply write to the Mafiosa and convince her of your worthiness. Applications always welcome.
